Job Summary:
- We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented automation engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated systems to increase the efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of our operations and/or software applications. You will work closely with developers, testers, and product teams to understand requirements and implement robust automation solutions.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automation frameworks and test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar.
- Develop automation for build, deployment, and configuration processes (CI/CD).
- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks.
- Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and report defects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure automation coverage across applications and infrastructure.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation strategy, tools, and processes.
- Create documentation for automation tools, frameworks, and scripts.
- Ensure compliance with coding standards and quality benchmarks.
- Continuously evaluate new tools and technologies to improve testing and automation effectiveness.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in automation engineering or test automation development.
- Proficient in at least one programming/scripting language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
- Experience with automation tools such as:
- Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit (for web applications)
- Appium (for mobile)
- Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or other CI/CD tools
- JIRA, TestRail, or similar test management tools
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in robbbotic process automation (RPA) tools like UiPath, Blue Prism (if applicable).
ISTQB or other testing certifications are a plus.
