Job Title: Backend PHP Developer Location: On-site Department: Technology / Development Job Type: Full-time Experience Level: Senior Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Backend PHP Developer responsible for developing and maintaining server-side web application logic. You will work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and QA engineers to deliver high-performance and scalable web solutions using PHP and related technologies. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain scalable backend systems using PHP (Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, or similar frameworks). Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services (e.g., payment gateways, SMS, etc.). Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards. Optimize application performance, database queries, and server response times. Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software to ensure strong optimization and functionality. Participate in code reviews, debugging, and continuous improvement of the codebase. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features. Manage and optimize MySQL/PostgreSQL databases. Ensure security and data protection compliance across systems. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a PHP Backend Developer. Strong proficiency in PHP 7/8, OOP, and MVC frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, Zend, CodeIgniter). Proficient in MySQL, database design, and query optimization. Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and AJAX. Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git). Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments. Understanding of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (basic level). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good understanding of security practices (e.g., SQL injection, XSS prevention). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with microservices, Docker, or Kubernetes. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). Exposure to cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of GraphQL is a plus. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
